Outcomes : ALIF

The most common indication for ALIF (anterior lumbar Interbody fusion) in Dr Sergides’ practice is discogenic back pain. Lumbar disc replacement (or “arthroplasty”) is often also appropriate for this indication. The approach is performed by a vascular surgeon via an incision in the lower abdomen and the discectomy and fusion / disc replacement is performed by Dr Sergides.
